Aeva Gaymon-Doomes, MD, is a Double Board-Certified physician specializing in the psychiatric care of children, adolescents and women.
Dr. Doomes treats children, adolescents, and adults with mood, anxiety, and behavioral disorders. Culturally attuned and down to earth, she has a unique approach to mental health that is integrative, holistic, and family-centered.
Her work with children and parents includes addressing difficult behavior and academic challenges, offering parent coaching and support that considers the needs of the entire family.
After graduating from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C, she completed both a residency program in adult psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Maryland and the world-renowned Sheppard Pratt Hospital (Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital) located in Towson, Maryland.
Dr. Doomes is on the clinical faculty at the George Washington School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and the Howard University Hospital Department of Psychiatry previously known as Freedmen's Hospital.
